Spring has come and gone and Lydia is more than 8 months old and over 18 pounds. She's now crawling/dragging around the house and pulls herself to a standing poisition all the time. She's taking a few knocks as she learns her balance and we're doing our best to make the lessons not too hard. She eats everything we give her and she loves to try new things. Baby food isnt interesting any more and only grown up food will do!
Summer is here now. Lydia is just starting to enjoy the pool. Watch for future installments.

Lydia Grace Mason was born at 12:29am on September 17, 1998. She weighed 8lbs 12oz and was 20" long. Lydia and her mother are in good health and are now back home resting. So without further delay, here she is:

Lydia's grandparents were close by when she was born. Having already spoiled her before she was even born, they quickly took off for more shopping once they knew that Lydia was a girl...

Grandma Edie and aunt Meghan have been helping out at home to make the transition easier. We couldn't imagine going through this without their help.

So far Lydia has slept a lot. Being born can be quite stressful for the baby as well as the mother, and Lydia is still recovering. Meanwhile we're happy to try and catch up on some needed sleep. She's learning to breastfeed and leaving us lots of nice presents. We can tell she loves us too...
