LPF Team Competition and Schooling Show Championship

The New England weather can be surprising for sure but as they say, "the show must go on!" And it did. Fortunately we were able to get in all of our rides and get everyone safely home before the real snow started to fall. Our competitor Barbara Cassana who had the furthest to travel, won the "High Score Adult of the Day" with the score of 73.448 at First Level test 1, and used that as her momentum of winning to get her home in front of the storm. Our "High Score Junior" Carly DiAmato, a student at LPF, used her winning score 76.900 to help her and the rest of her team,(Alex, Lauralyn and Victoria) to get all the horses here at LPF hayed, fed and snuggled in so they were all cozy for the approaching storm. Her score also helped her team, "The Mighty Muckers," to win their division with an average of 67.975. However, they were edged out of the High Score Team of the Day, by the training level division winners, "Team Avastar" whose average score of 70.122 gave them what they needed to take home this award and their prizes," a bucket full of horse washing items" donated by The Mane Place. Another winning team for Avastar was their USDF Intro Team, winning their division with a score of 63. 500. Winning their Test of Choice division with an average of 64.198, were the "D.Q's" whose Queenly Royal costumes impressed the judge, and they're efforts were rewarded as they received a treasure of Farnum products for winning the "judges favorite costume" award! This team also deserves to be considered the roughest toughest riders too, as their classes were last to go and most of them had to ride their tests in the very cold snow rain!! All teams that competed were awarded ribbons, and medals, and the division winners were also awarded prizes donated by LPF, including treat bags made out of recycled feed bags, made by our local girl scout troop who spent the summer helping out with LPF's community and foster program, Healing Horses. Our Reserve Champion Teams were: Test of Choice division- Cancer Aware Mares- whose costumes supported the different ribbons of cancer, and Division G Team- "A little R & R" .

Competitors of this show, were not only able to compete as an individuals, and/or a member of a team, but you could also enter our Schooling Show Championships. This competitive bunch used their scores from their two team test to count for our Championship and our winners were: USDF Level- Erika Tougas riding Hank Williams with a combined score of 64.00, Training Level-Jackie Webber riding Santo with a combined Score of 72.207 and First Level-Terry Brennan riding Miss America Pie with a combined score of 68.038. Reserve Champions were as follows: USDF-Elizabeth Morrisette on Lady-63.000 and Training Level-Bari Baggett on Hidden River Panza.

This is LPF's favorite show of the season because they look forward to seeing all of the great costumes and are able to award so many prizes thanks to their great sponsor- The Mane Place-of Uxbridge. Congratulations to all . We look forward to next years show season and hope to see everyone again next year(except Mr. Snow- he can stay away)!!! Check back with us again after the first of the year for 2012 dates and THANK YOU all and God Bless.
